How did we meet? Who is responsible? Well, some would think Shelly (his sister) because she is one of my closest friends, then some would say Chuck and Vic because they invited me into the jacuzzi where Glen first laid hands on my shoulders, some would say Maria for having the bbq, and some would say Leeper for forcing my number on him, some would say Denise for being Shelly's friend first, but then there's sweet Heather who introduced me to it all!! I will let you be the judge, but to me they are all responsible and I thank them. THANK YOU!
Here are some memorable stories....
How simple it can be.....Glen and I love to travel together and be outdoors together and one year we went to Lake Powell. It was about 110 degrees out every day and we made the best of it. After spending the morning wake boarding together, we would get a cooler of beer, our fishing poles and float out on a little two man raft and fish for hours together.
Glen pushing me to my limits.... Our first time on the mountain together and a few years since I have been snow boarding, Glen took me to a double black diamond on Mammoth (1st run) and of course, I knew I was a pretty good boarder and wanted to show off, went in confidence down the run and pulled it off pretty well, but then I got a little to confident and found myself creating a yard sale the other couple of runs heading head first down the mountain in absolute fear and looked up to find my hero flying down the mountain and tackling me just so I would stop. That is when I really fell in love.
Our passions......When Glen goes hunting or fishing, I look forward to his call at the end of the day because he is so excited and passionate about it that it makes me visualize being there. He went on a trip by himself once and took the video camera and recorded his every move and that was probably the best thing I ever watched. He in turn is very supportive of my passions for surfing and truly seems interested by asking me details about my surfing and day. He is amazing!
Getting prepared.....Marriage counseling is a memorable thing.....being such a macho man and coming from a macho family, his reaction was shocking! He was so receptive and looked forward to going, never put up a fight and really wanted to discuss and iron out any issues that we may have. He has always been so supportive and understanding to all my needs and easily expresses his own. He amazes me......how can I be so lucky?!
Ran out of room. See you soon and God Bless!!
Our wedding ceremony will be held in a beautiful small church just up the hill from the reception. The church is named First Methodist Church. You will need to drive but it is about a 3-5 minute drive.
See "reception" regarding "why a theme", but PLEASE be tasteful with your attire at the church during the ceremony....you may "loosen" up at the reception.
Okay, I know some of you are fussing about the theme, but you are going to have to get over it!
We really want to have a wild west wedding for two reasons.....the location we picked suits it perfectly and our families are a great mix of cowboys and rednecks so we thought we would make it easier on your attire. :)
Some of you may not know that Glen is a third generation stunt man. His father and grandfather did a lot of westerns (along with uncles and cousins) and I grew up watching them, listening to country and riding horses. The memories make us both happy and the theme brings them back.
Please be tasteful...the ceremony will be held at a church. You may "loosen" up at the reception.
Just an FYI- If you are not interested in the honeymoon registry, we are also registered at www.macysweddingchannel.com and www.bedbathandbeyond.com.
Thank you all for being a part of our lives. We would not be who we are today and found each other if it were not for you.
