Demetria and I have been knowing each other for most of our lives. We never thought that we were compatible or shared similar interests. When I was home visiting, Demetria's sister, Cheryl (a.k.a. "Stanky") asked us why we had never considered dating. As we stood there in amazement - with our mouths open with disbelief, Cheryl returned with a pen so that we could exchange phone numbers. There must have been some magic or chemistry between us because we would talk until the sun came up. Demetria is a woman of GOD, extremely intelligent, a goal-oriented person, loves to travel, has a great sense of humor, a loving heart and a passionate spirit. Her inner beauty makes our differences appear insignificant. Our proposal took place in Destin, FL. I had planned to propose at a seafood restauraunt with a special menu that said, "will you marry me", but we were on the beach and the moment just seemed so romantic and perfect.
The wedding is June 27, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. It will take place at The Family Life Center; which is a divison of Mt. Hebron Church Ministries that is located at 2531 Berkley Avenue in Mobile, Alabama. Traveling from I-10 to I-65 (North) you wll pass Airport Blvd (Mall on your right); Dauphin St.; Spring Hill Ave; and Moffet Rd. You will be able to see the church on your right, so take the Pritchard/Citronell exit onto St. Stephens Rd. continuing right. Take the first right before the gas station and the church will be on your right.
The reception will be at the Ivy Center from 7-11 p.m. The Ivy Center is located at 4363 Downtowner Loop North in Mobile, Alabama. Leaving the wedding from Mt. Hebron Church Ministries, take a left on St. Stephens Rd and proceed South on I-65 towards I-10. Continuing on I-65 (South) [passing Moffett Rd; Spring Hill Ave; and Dauphin St] you will take exit 3 onto Airport Blvd keeping to the right. Next, turn left onto Downtowner Rd. Then, turn left onto Downtowner North. The Ivy Center will be on the right.
